Taylor Mac

A long-time supporter of Taylor’s, I co-created The Ethyl Eichelberger Award of which Taylor Mac was the inaugural recipient. For his Award-funded project he conceived of a massive spectacle, Red Tide Blooming, that was his first big ensemble musical. A departure from his visceral solo post-apocalyptic drag performances, this work presages Taylor’s future creative direction.
